Our team is led by Varainia Barkus, a Registered Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician that has worked in mental health since 2002.
Varainia has worked for the State of California Department of State Hospitals and Department of Corrections throughout her career. She launched Bellahealth to help match healthcare facilities to top quality talent with maximum salaries, so both sides succeed.
Her strong nurse advocacy skills come from experience in the Centralized Staffing Office as a Shift Supervisor, where she supported staff members in meeting the hospital’s ongoing milestones. Additionally, she excelled in positions as a Behavior Change Agent and was a member of the Positive Behavior Support Team. Her extensive training and consultations from Nurse Administrators, Psychiatrists, Psychologists and Social Workers gives Bellahealth unique experience and perspectives in these arenas.
